Chair crazy...
Lately I feel like I have been a little obsessed with chairs... The old ugly ones that nobody wants, but when I see them I think I can fix it and make it new again..When we first moved into our house the prev owners left this gem behind down in the basement.. As you could imagine I got so excited and I'm pretty sure my husband thought I was crazy....Here is the before picture... so sad....And then my after...much better don't ya think?
This next beauty was found when My friend Jane and I was out thriftin one day. It was on a tall pile of furniture that the sales guy had to climb up to get.. The best part is it was only 2 dollars... woo hoo....After a good cleaning, paint and fabric its a new piece of furniture in my home. Thanks for stopping by... Have a wonderful day!!!

the fireplace redo
Good Morning Everyone.... This morning I decided to go back and reread all of my post, the first thru the third one had me in tears. Not because I was sad but by seeing how God has changed my life. I was so nervous for the big move to Kansas and now I could not see myself living anywhere else. We love it here and feel this is now HOME.. Shortly after finding out we was moving I read this in scripture Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope...Praise Jesus for his plans they are way better than my own... He is in control not me.
I know I promised after pics of the family room, but I have come down with a nasty head cold and have no energy to decorate and take pics.. so It will have to wait til this girl is feeling better. I do have a before and after shot of the fireplace. The before is the top picture. Dark and outdated.. I was blogging one day and came across a blog called The Yellow Cape Cod... she had white washed their fireplace and it looked amazing.. After pleading with the hubby he said I could do it... The after is so bright and clean... I still need to pull off the front piece and spray paint black.. But I will get to it sometime soon... If you are wondering how I did it is so easy... I took 2 cups white on white latex paint, 2 cups water stir stir stir.... Then brush it on a few bricks at a time with your other hand use a towel to blot off the extra.. I didn't have newspaper and all that down due to no flooring in yet. But you will want to cover your floors well It is very messy. But so worth it. I think I will go snuggle up on the sofa with a hot cup of tea now. Thanks for stopping by have a great day..
