Are we settled yet?
Hello everyone,

Well let me just say it has been a crazy busy week with the move halfway across the country.. Lots of cleaning had to be done even before my stuff arrived, and I;m still scrubbing... ugh.. will need a manicure when all done. The Semi showed up On Wednesday and I was so excited to get my stuff here so I could start making this place home. Then it hit me, Is all this crap mine? It was. Now just finding a new home for the stuff is the challenge. This is an older place and we have lots of work to do to it. But the best par it is ours and we are excited to make the changes.. I did decorate my fireplace mantel for fall already so I will show ya a pic of it, but don't be envious of the beautiful wall paneling in the background (yuck) it to will be coming down soon... any how I am so excited to have a real mantel to decorate with each season now. We have promised the kids a dog when we get settled. And so they keep asking are we settled yet? I'm thinking to myself does this mess look settled? But then I think do we ever truly get settled in our homes? NOPE once we finish one project we start another.. Don't worry my dear kiddos the dog will be joining the family soon.

the semi left today
Hello, well today was an emotional, but keep it together day. The movers got everything all loaded up and are on the road with my stuff.. Even the Hubby's truck is on there. I am standing in a very empty house while my children sleep on air mattresses. I look back and think of how blessed I have been with all the amazing people God has put into my life over the years. I know he is in control of this journey and has plans for our family in Kansas, But it is hard to leave everything and everyone you love..Romans 8-28 says we know God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
Don't get me wrong, now that my stuff is gone I am ready to get to my new house and start making it a home, but right now I 'm concerned with my children's hearts. you know its hard enough when you leave your friends but what do you say to your kids? you will make new ones... NOT... these guys have been buddies for years , so your mommy heart hurts for them. They will sooner heal and make friends ,its just important to keeping them in touch with the old friends. here are some pics of the day I've had. now just staying strong in Christ for my kids.

Packing Day Part 1
Hello everyone...
Well the moment has finally come to our household,,, Packing day...We knew it was coming but I must say the heart started pumping harder and choking back the tears was tougher than normal.. Though it was nice sitting around drinking coffee and checking out other blogs while these men worked very hard at packing all my stuff...They do work very fast I must say. I am truly excited for this new journey but will miss all the amazing people here in my life. I do look forward to all the new things we will get to experience in Kansas.. and to decorate our new house and make it a home. The first thing I will be doing is giving my 3 year old princess her pink bedroom she so truly wants..Also try explaining to a 3 year old that most of her toys is in a box, and no we cannot watch Barney cause the TV is in a box as well...poor girl. This will make for a long 3 days... cannot wait to see what tomorrow brings...

getting prepared
Good Monday morning to you all,
I hope you had a wonderful weekend.. The weather here in Idaho was beautiful and I just love all the fall colors. This spring when we planted our garden I planted pumpkins and gourds for decorations. I am enjoying them right now but don't think the movers will pack them...:)
Today I will be starting my many things to do on my TO DO list, before the movers come..in other words I will be running around the house like a chicken with my head cut off...lol.. Good thing my head is attached or i would leave it somewhere too.
Here is my home now, we have lived here for 4 years and have made some wonderful memories, lots of dinner parties and Backyard BBQ's. We have been very blessed here in this home.
